Event Description: ATTENTION NON-PROFITS! WE NEED YOUR INPUT! Presenter: Lesley Santos Dierks, CEO Spokes for nonprofits Are you: •Searching for potential grant funders? •Trying to establish a new Board of Directors for your organization? •Looking for additional resources to help you manage your nonprofit organization? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, please join Lesley Santos Dierks, CEO of Spokes to learn more about her organization can help you! Spokes is a nonprofit organization that helps other nonprofits achieve their missions. Lesley will host a series of brown-bag discussions at MCSC in the months to come and looks forward working with participants at this first session to determine what information is most desired for presentations. Lesley is passionate about supporting the work of the nonprofit sector. She began her career as a development officer and grant writer for the California ScienCenter, specializing in capital campaign fundraising. Later, she moved to the other side of the funding table as the Community Relations Manager for Adobe Systems, Inc. where she was responsible for the company’s corporate philanthropy and community relations programs including their cash, in-kind and employee volunteer grants programs. Lesley benefits from a hands-on understanding of the unique challenges facing nonprofits and donors and is committed to creating opportunities to help both sectors achieve their goals and strengthen our shared community.
