Cal Poly

Just a short 30-minute commute south lies Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, named the “top-ranked California State University” in 2011 by Forbes Magazine. It is a distinctive learning community offering academically focused students a hands-on educational experience that prepares them for today’s scientific and technical world. Over 60 undergraduate majors are offered. The university’s career orientation is evident in its programs in Agriculture, Architecture, Business, Design, Education Engineering, Graphic Communication and Journalism.

Cuesta

Paso Robles is also home to the North County Cuesta Community College campus, providing an opportunity for residents to pursue higher education closer to home and employment. Opened in 1998, the campus has blossomed to provide over 200 course offerings, with enrollment soaring to over 3,000 students. The North County Cuesta campus is also a primary provider for classes in the Licensed Vocational Nursing program, offered in partnership with Compass Health since 2006. Additionally, Cuesta offers high school students the opportunity to enroll concurrently, allowing them to experience the next level of learning and earn college credits. The main Cuesta College campus is located in San Luis Obispo.

Columbia College has a long-standing partnership with Cuesta College, offering seamless transfer from associate’s degrees into our bachelor’s degree programs. Columbia College is located right on Cuesta College’s San Luis Obispo campus.

San Joaquin Valley College

SJVC’s Santa Maria, CA location is one of our newest campuses, established in 2019! We offer accelerated career training programs for students interested in the medical, business, industrial or trades fields.

We are conveniently located in Santa Maria near the corner of Stowell Road and Broadway and can be reached easily by bus on Santa Maria Area Transit (SMAT) routes 1, 5, 45 and 61.

Those interested in enrolling in one of the programs at SJVC’s Santa Maria campus can meet with an admissions advisor at our campus.
