Hospice SLO County (HSLO) is a volunteer hospice and 501c3 organization providing services for those coping with a life-limiting illness and their loved ones. HSLO provides emotional, social and practical support as an additional layer of care for individuals regardless of their treatment choices and is NOT limited to the final 6 months of an individuals life. In home services can be provided in addition to home health or medical hospice care being delivered and there is never a charge.
Grief counseling is available after any death has occurred regardless of when, where or how. Support groups including general bereavement and spouse/partner loss are also offered in SLO, Paso Robles and South County.
County-wide services include: In-home respite care for clients and caregivers, End-of-Life Doula support for the dying, Community Response and professional and community education and training.
All Hospice SLO County services are provided free of charge by licensed professionals, experienced staff and/or trained volunteers.
