Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast Partners with Paso Robles and Atascadero Fire Departments

The local fire departments will utilize the old building to practice and train skills prior to the new construction.

Paso Robles, CA – Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast honored the Mass family at the Annual Champions of Youth Auction last month. The late Tom Maas had a great vision for the community of Paso Robles. His vision included building a new Boys & Girls Club in Paso Robles. We will soon be honoring Tom’s vision by building the “Tom Maas Boys & Girls Club” in Paso Robles.

The current building on the Oak Street property acquired by the generosity of Tom & Kathleen Maas must be demolished before we can start construction. On October 23, 2019 at 9 a.m., the Paso Robles and Atascadero Fire Departments will conduct training onsite utilizing the existing building on the Oak Street property. Fire Department staff will be able to practice skills in search and rescue, ventilation, and fire extinguishment during the planned exercises.

“We are pleased to be partnering with the Paso Robles and Atascadero Fire Departments on this joint effort. Public safety is critically important for our youth members and their families,” said Jeremy Deming. “We are proud of our partnership with both local fire departments and are happy to help in their training needs.” Demolition of the existing building will be scheduled in the weeks to come.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast’s continuing commitment to provide a safe and fun place for youth and teens in the communities of Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Atascadero, Shandon and Paso Robles provides the greatest return on the investments from our donors, stakeholders, and partners. Our organization serves the most vulnerable youth and teens throughout the Central Coast region.
